Walls are taking shape on the Outdoor Classroom at Graettinger-Terril Elementary School. Today, Tommy Scott and Chris Myers put in brackets, one side of columns and the middle main beam. In the end it will be 18’X20’ with deck boards and a roof. Think of it as a covered deck. Thanks goes out to Gary Edwards and Rhonda Weiland for transporting materials. More to come.

On Thursday 31 October, Graettinger-Terril Elementary will be having our Fall PBIS celebration day. As a part of this, children may wear a costume for a $1 donation to our PBIS fund for materials and snack items. Children do not HAVE to wear a costume. Any costume worn must fit under the following parameters:
-No weapons or weapon look-a likes.
-No props with the costume. This means things that need to be attached to the costume or carried in hands.
-No gory or gruesome costuming.
-No full face coverings.
We reserve the right to determine if something is acceptable under these guidelines. Our celebration is not about Halloween. It is about the good choices and actions the students have made for the first quarter. Thank you for your support!

NHS students have worked hard to put together a spooky haunted hike this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the little league field. Admission is $5/person and hot chocolate and chips will also be available for purchase. Bring a friend and support NHS while having a great time!

GTRA students Karima Rostom (flute) and Claudia Hall (clarinet) represented GTRA music at the 2019 All State Music Auditions in LeMars on Saturday. These two put in the time and hard work needed to audition at the level of some of the best student musicians in our state. Claudia Hall was one of only 13 clarinet players recalled for a second audition but unfortunately, didn’t make the final cut. Both students performed beautifully and we are proud to have them representing GTRA instrumental music!
