Home Wrestling Tomorrow!! Our Annual Graettinger Invitational Wrestling Tournament will take place tomorrow (1/10). Parking is going to be difficult so we ask that you bear with us this year. There is a funeral at the Methodist Church tomorrow morning at 10:30AM. We ask that all attending the tournament allow parking on the street immediately to the West of the Methodist Church. We also have confirmed that those attending can park in the Lutheran Church Parking to the South of the building! See you tomorrow!

The 360 to Self-Sufficiency team is building a social media presence for their partner Upper Des Moines Opportunity. Next step is to build a completely new web site with new features!


Physics students wrapped up their kinematics unit by engineering, testing, and modifying their own catapults. They then used their calculations to attempt to hit a target on the ground at a distance given to them only twenty minutes before launch!





Graettinger-Terril Elementary had an outing today to Emmetsburg Theater for a movie! Our friends from Ruthven-Ayrshire Elementary joined the fun as well. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all! We look forward to a great 2020!

Anatomy students got into the holiday spirit by creating system-theamed ugly sweaters. Here are just a few of many creative works!





District Fisheries Management Biologist Mike Hawkins works with the Hunt for Oxbows team to learn ArcGIS. The team will be using a software toolbox only used before by it's grad student developer to indentify critical stream habitat.


Thanks to the help of Tim Mielke, we were able to get the Outdoor Classroom in Terril to substantial completion! I had the roof to get completed and we accomplished that today. Here are some pictures of the deck and roof. The deck got completed on the day before Thanksgiving break (and before the snow). In the spring we will begin to move some soil and shape the old football field into a rolling prairie. Stay tuned for more to come!




Biology students played a game of Biodiversity Jenga to reinforce the concepts of their Ecology Unit.

7th graders have been working on how to properly debate different topics. Today's topic was Ho Ho's vs. Swiss Cake Rolls. Students collected evidence based on the five senses and participated in a debate. Swiss Cake Rolls was the clear winner!





The Drone Delivery team demonstrated their ability to pivot by presenting partner Barry Bonner with ground-based drone options. There are no clear FAA regulations regarding aerial drones yet, so this was the best option for delivering food and beverages at the Hillcrest.
