We would like to thank everyone that had a part in the Superintendent Search process. We would especially like to thank those that were part of the district Interview Teams. The Search Firm let the Boards know that both districts were very well represented by the district interview teams. They also made a special mention of the involvement of the student on the interview teams.

As part of the study of eggs, Foods 2 students made omelets.



7th graders critiqued two different demonstrative speech example videos and evaluated the presentations on a rubric. They then compared their scores with others and shared evidence as to why they scored the way they did. Lastly, they compared all scores to the teacher's score.



National Honor Society is hosting a Valentine's Day fundraiser for their service trip to Chicago. Members will make the Valentines and hand deliver them on Friday. Treat someone you love to something sweet this Valentine's Day!

8th grade ELA students have begun their Career Unit. They are learning proper communication techniques like giving a firm handshake and making eye contact when welcoming speakers to our room. They are also learning about different career paths they could pursue in the future.



To prepare for upcoming projects involving writing of directions, 7th grade ELA students taught themselves how to play a new game. Directions were read and analyzed and groups learned how to play the game. They then evaluated which parts of the directions were most helpful.

Chemistry students practiced binary nomenclature by playing an intense game of Polyatomic Jenga!





Corrin, from Emmet County Public Health visited the preschool for a dental screening. The kids got their teeth checked and a fluoride treatment. The students also got a tooth brush goody pack.




Anatomy & Physiology students are studying the nervous system. Pictured are students dissecting sheep brains and making comparisons to human anatomy. We were even able to video call another student recovering from surgery to join the experience!
