I am BEYOND THRILLED to see progress made in my 6-8 English classes! Students are logging into Google Classroom to complete our daily tasks. 6th grade is working on figurative language and writing poetry, 7th is writing informative essays, and 8th is beginning debates. Woot!

Good mental health reminders for all of us

Hey Seniors,
Tomorrow night at 5:30 there will be a google hangout meeting with ILCC. This meeting is mostly for the undergrad students who will be taking dual credit classes next year, but we have also asked Brandon DeClercq, their admissions counselor, to come as well in case any seniors had questions about their next steps with ILCC.
This might not pertain to all of you, as some of you are not attending ILCC next year, however, if you have questions about requesting transcripts or maybe even classes that you might want to take there in the future, it could be very helpful for you to sit in on!
Please invite your parents to sit in on this meeting with you if you wish!
The link to the meeting has been sent to your school email!

Pictured are sophomore students, Cody Hoffman and David Cilliers. Cody took 1st place in the March Mammal Madness tournament, while David scored a strategic last place. Both received a trophy while abiding by the rules of social distancing. Congratulations, gentlemen!

March Mammal Madness 2020 has concluded with a new champion: Gorilla!
1st place: Cody Hoffman, 96 points
2nd place: Mr. Olesen, 95 points
3rd place: Morgan Murphy, 94 points
Thank you to all the students and staff members that participated in this year's tournament!

Today, on Thursday April 2nd at 4:00, the teacher wave parade will be coming to Terril. They will meet together in the school parking lot and then go for a slow drive through the streets of Terril starting at 4:00 PM. If you live in the country, we encourage you to come into town. See you there!

Teacher Parade change-up: Our bus drivers are doing different tasks today (such as one being on call for the ambulance). Because of that, we are asking that if you live in the country and wish to see the Teacher Parade, come on into town and park your car. In Graettinger, we will travel on the north/south streets through town. In Wallingford, we will try to do the same. Thank you.

Attention Parents, Families and Community!
On Wednesday, April 1st, the Graettinger-Terril Elementary, Middle School and High School staff will be conducting an "Education Parade" through the communities of Graettinger and Wallingford as well as on surrounding bus routes. At 4:00 PM, it will start out from the school in Graettinger and then travel primarily on the north/south streets through town. It will then head toward Walingford and the surrounding areas.
On Thursday, April 2nd, this same group will conduct the parade through Terril and surrounding area. We encourage you to be ready to wave and smile! The staff miss everyone!

In an effort to limit interactions for our food service staff members and also due to positive feedback last week, we will be sending both Thursday and Friday meals home on Thursdays each week at all G-T locations . R-A will still send breakfasts/lunches on Thursdays and Fridays. Please spread the word.

📢Attention to all NHS applicants:
If you received an application packet and intend to apply, please scan and email your FULL application to mjeffrey@gt.ratitans.org OR mail it to the school. If you mail it, please indicate "Attn: Mrs. Jeffrey-NHS" above the address. The application deadline of April 7th has not changed. If you have questions, please email Mrs. Jeffrey!
